2014/30/EU EMC (ELECTROMAGNETIC COMPATIBILITY)
2014/30/EU EMC. The Electromagnetic Compatibility Directive shall apply to all electrical products and electrical products, and establish broad requirements according to which any electronic devices must have an appropriate degree of protection against electromagnetic interference caused by other devices, at the same time it must not generate any interference affecting the safety of other devices. This Directive is based on standards with detailed technical specifications. The list of standards that apply to the Directive is being constantly updated.
There are two ways to show compliance with this Directive, which permits applying the CE mark:
1. The manufacturer shall create an official internal control system, which includes a full cycle of examinations and assessment of the electromagnetic compatibility of products.
2. The inspection shall be carried out by an EU authorized authority. Such inspection shall involve the analysis of products and their technical documentation.
In addition to the EMC Directive, the access of products to the EU markets also guarantees full compliance with the requirements of other Directives, for example, the Low Voltage Directive.
